I don't always love having to play Boobielocks and the Three Bras every morning, but I'd still rather do that than wear an underwire bra ever again.
(for physical comfort reasons I unfortunately cannot go about my day bra-less)
(and yes I know technically it should be Boobielocks and the Three Ta-Tas because in this analogy the beds and chairs and porridge are the bras, but writing it like this makes it more immediately evident what I am referring to and why am I justifying myself on my OWN BLOG where I don't even have a comment widget, social media mores are a poison sahfwrtj)

I've never made a zine before but I think it's supposed to be OK to just make zines that are weird for no reason.

first forties mission: success
I'm 40!
My birthday cake was delicious! And it was pretty! I got it from a locally-owned ice cream shop, and it turns out that it makes an effort to hire and train disabled employees, and a couple of the workers there were even wearing masks when we came to pick up! It's like it was algorithmically designed for me to like!
Not only that, the rest of my family who was there liked it too. It will probably be one of my most memorable birthday cakes ever, and that's a nice thing to start my 40s with π

This robot just turned into a merman??? (a flesh one??) β¦β¦ His mermaid girlfriend tricked Starscream into turning into a tree and then turned herself into a robot??? and then transformed into a speedboat???

not "avoiding doomscrolling to insulate myself from current events" but "avoiding excess doomscrolling so I don't spend literal hours on end reading about the fallout of current events to the point where I end up too emotionally and mentally (and in some cases physically) drained to actually do anything about current events"
